Blue Mesa Reservoir Boat Tours

Blue Mesa Reservoir was formed and filled back in the 1960s by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and is now the largest lake in the state. Designed for both water storage and electricity generation, it has become home to some of the best trout fishing waters found anywhere in the United States

With depths near the dam of almost 400 feet, and boasting nearly 100 miles of shoreline, Blue Mesa Reservoir has become an angler’s paradise for Rainbows, Cutthroats, Browns, Yellow Perch and yet another new Lake trout state record!

The fishing may be amazing but the views are truly spectacular.  With 360 degrees of shoreline to view and mountains all around you it is hard to take it all in in one day.  On any given trip you can see several species of birds from eagles to seagulls and the larger wildlife, like deer and elk, watering on the shoreline.

Blue Mesa Reservoir also offers plenty of on-the-lake camping areas, boat camping and nearby RV resorts. Two fully-stocked marinas, fish cleaning stations, multiple boat ramps and a restaurant on the lake round out the amenities.

Our lake tours are the perfect way to sit back, relax and enjoy Blue Mesa’s 360° of beauty while out on the water.
