Frequently Asked Questions:

A CID number in Colorado stands for Customer Identification Number and is a unique, permanent account number assigned by Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW). It is used to track your hunting and fishing licenses, hunter education certification, preference points, and camping reservations.
.
If you’ve purchased a Colorado fishing or hunting license in the past, your CID number will be on your license. You can always call or go to your local CPW office and they can help you if you don’t know what that number is.

No. Once you receive your Colorado Columbine License, you do not need to renew it each year. Just make sure to keep your license with you whenever you are fishing.

We also recommend stopping by your local Colorado Parks and Wildlife office and adding your photo ID to your account. If your license is ever lost or damaged, having your ID connected to your account can make getting it reprinted much easier.
