What To Expect:

While every trip is different due to each anglers’ individual needs, there is a general process that our trips follow:

  • Requesting Your Trip: Start by filling out our trip request form on our website. This form allows you to specify what you’re looking for in your fishing adventure, whether it’s targeting a specific species, trying a new fishing technique, or simply enjoying a day out on the water.

  • Confirmation Process: Once we receive your request, our team will review the details and get back to you to confirm available dates. After we finalize your trip date, you’ll receive information on what to expect next and how to prepare for your fishing adventure.

  • Pre-Trip Communication: A few days before your trip, your guide will contact you to discuss the final details. This includes confirming the meeting time and location  and finalizing any remaining payment details and paperwork. (*We make this call so close to the date of the trip because the fishing conditions on Blue Mesa are ever changing and we want to have the most up to date information so we can decided which would be the best ramp to launch from.)

  • Morning Of The Trip: On the morning of your trip, you’ll park in the parking lot of the agreed upon boat ramp and then head down to the ramp where your guide will be waiting at the dock. Before setting off your guide with run through a brief safety orientation, and hand out any necessary life jackets. This is also a great time to take a group photos if you want one!

All Trips Include:

Our guides have fully equipped boats with all the fishing gear needed to have a successful day out on the water.

We are also fully stocked in life jackets to fit all ages and sizes. Kids 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket, but if you are older than 12 and want to wear one, we are happy to get one out for you.

After a successful day on the water, our guides will process your fish for you. We are happy to fillet them to your specifications so that they are perfect for your next fish fry, canning day, or campfire cookout. What To Bring

What To Bring:

  • Lunch, Snacks, and Drinks
  • Sunscreen – An absolute must! The sun at our altitude can be very intense and burn skin easily.
  • Proper clothing for various weather conditions (coat, hat, gloves, sweater, long sleeve shirt, long pants, UB clothing if you have it. Be sure to dress in layers.)
  • Cooler for transporting fish home (ice/cold packs are always helpful to keep your fish cool if you have a long drive home.

Additional Items To Consider Bringing:

  • Sunglasses
  • Camera/GoPro
  • Blanket (if you get cold easily, we recommend bringing a blanket to put over your legs for the boat ride. It can get a little chilly in the early morning.)
