Description
This is our most versatile head. It can be used for a multitude of presentations and baits, from grubs to gulp minnows to swimbaits. The football head design makes it more resistant to hanging up in rocky structure and also gives your lure a unique walking motion.
We use the Trokar light wire, 2/0, Pro-V bend hook; the best jig hook on the market. The Trokar point penetrates with up to 50% less force, and the pro-v bend is much stiffer than a traditional round bend.

- Rod: Light to Medium Power Rod with Fast Action. This rod style offers precise control over lure action and the strength to reel in your catches, while its fast action enhances sensitivity for detecting light bites.
- Line: 4-8 lb Fluorocarbon Line or 8-15 lb Braided Line with a 4-8 lb Fluorocarbon leader.
Hookset:
- Hook Point: Trokar Point This hook features a triangular, ultra-sharp cutting tip. For best results, use a pressure hookset to guide the barb past the fish’s bony mouth structure—just pull and reel, and it will cut into place. Avoid excessive yanking or snapping, as this can cause the point to slice out of the fish’s mouth.
